THE WHIRLING DERVISHES

This 121 x 152 cm (48″ x 60″) painting was created using acrylic paint and silver leaf in scarlet red for the Sikke of the dancers. Malini’s whirling dervishes paintings were all highly influenced by her backpacking trip to Turkey in 2015. Her client requested for a black and white colour scheme with a colour pop of red. This painting now resides in a beautiful home in Singapore.
